Step by Step

  1. Slide metal clip onto back of holder. You can set the clip either horizontally or vertically to fit your vehicle's vent.
  2. To activate the scent, twist bottle to open unit and remove bottle.
  3. Unscrew round ring and remove blue wick cover. Screw ring back onto the unit to avoid leakage.
  4. Place bottle in holder and close holder.
  5. Clip holder onto your vehicle's vent blades, not between blades. Check that it is secure and upright.
  6. Adjust fragrance level as desired (0-low, 1-medium, 2-high).
  7. Replace fragrance oil bottle when empty with Glade® Car Scented Oil refills only. SC Johnson & Son, Inc. will not be held responsible for damage, injury or poor performance caused by use of any other refills.

Safety & Precautions:

Eye irritant. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. If eye contact occurs, rinse with plenty of water for 20 minutes. If eye irritation persists, consult a physician.

If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call physician or poison control center immediately.

Contains fragrance oil. Some people may be sensitive to vapors. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Avoid tilting unit. Keep in a vertical position.

Liquid could damage some car surfaces. If spilled, clean the surface immediately.

Do not install directly above cigarette lighter or ashtray.

Can I use my Glade® PlugIns® or Glade® Scented Oil refills?
No. Only Car Scented Oil refills are designed for use in the Car Scented Oil holder.
How do I activate the scent?
The detailed usage instructions are enclosed on the inside cover. Twist bottle to open unit. Unscrew the ring and remove and discard blue wick cover. Replace the ring to avoid leakage. Replace bottle in holder and close the holder.
Can I adjust the strength of the fragrance?
Yes. The unit has an adjuster. Set it at 0 for less fragrance and at 2 for more fragrance. Like all car air fresheners, the fragrance will be stronger the first three days and will then level off.
Can I clip my Glade® Car Scented Oil unit onto the vent horizontally?
No. The product is designed to stand up vertically; however, the clip can be slid in the back of the product either horizontally or vertically to fit your particular car vent.
How do I know when to replace the fragrance oil bottle?
Each see-through oil bottle provides long-lasting fragrancing. Replace the fragrance oil bottle when empty with Glade® Car Scented Oil refills only.
How long does Glade® Car Scented Oil last?
Each unit lasts up to 30 days. But the actual time will vary depending on your car, use of the heater/air conditioner, the outside temperature and other variables.
